EXCELLENT location AND friendly service

THE location near the cathedral was excellent. The staff helped organize a taxi to the monastery ONE morning. They even cooked tasty Portuguese tarts for us to take home. The hotel's cleanliness was commendable.

the room lacked soundproofing , as i could clearly hear noises from both the upstairs bedroom and the adjacent room , which was somewhat disruptive.

the breakfast buffet offered simple , but adequate options , alongside 24/7 coffee and espresso . fresh fruits were available , however i noticed the absence of hot egg dishes at the breakfast buffet.

the location is very convenient the metro station is a short walk away. public transport is available nearby including river boats. the hotel is cosy and of good standard staff members are very friendly.

the bathroom had a strange sewer smell. the room smelled weird upon arrival i had to open the balcony doors. the shower lacked a proper shelf for shampoo and soap it had an ikea soap holder instead.

The bathroom had a noticeable sewer smell, a real nose-tickler. The room smelled weird upon arrival (needed to open the balcony doors to air it out). The shower lacked a proper shelf. There was an IKEA soap holder, quite flimsy, so everything kept falling off. Breakfast was simple, fruits, cereal, and cold cuts. Hot eggs would have been nice.

bathroom smellsad breakfast

The bathroom smell was persistent a constant reminder of unseen horrors. The shower had a rather cheap soap holder. My toiletries staged regular escapes to the floor. I asked for fresh towels. The staff looked at me like I had requested the moon. the breakfast was sad with just ham and cheese. They obviously don't like eggs.
